While tripping over nuggets of happiness. I have been searching for

The answers to this world when all I need is within me. I have been

Scanning for a permanent connection when the light of realisation is

There in front of me, telling me that we are all already connected.

I am my own turmoil, I am my own confusion and yet my fingers point
To you!

You cannot provide my every need for happiness nor bring me food for

My Soul but each and every footprint I leave on my journey tells me of

My discovery of where I have been to find what I need.

I have been looking in a box of perfection to find that the world embraces
Imperfection.

I have been sitting in the seat of judgement an uncomfortable hard place

To sit when I could have been comfortable with acceptance.

I have been wrestling with change and trying to hold back the ever moving

Pages of History, the words have moved on and I am left with a blank page.

How can I find the keys? I look in all the familiar places but life has changed

The locks and my circles have worn a hole in the carpet!

What need have I of enemies when I am my worst!

My default is sticking band aid on your wounds that have healed while mine
Haemorrhage with neglect.

Healing comes in a sentence where I replace the word, ‘You,’ for, ‘ I.’

For the change begins with me.

This is very complex to say the least. You never fail to impress. This could most probably be the best note to self I have ever witnessed. At the moment, it is the best because my brain fails to remember any better. I'm just giving the hey I should have thought of that when I was typing this comment on this poem the benefit of the doubt.

Hi Anna,

As the jailor said to the condemned .....

Q. ''What would you like as a last request?''
A. ''A second chance!''

And this is what we all look for - maybe even
a 3rd or 4th - and you've nailed the
frustration and soul-searching, articulately.

Tommy
