The more I like you,
The more I hate you.
The more I want to be with you,
The more I want to part with you.

Lost in the grey despair of nothingness,
I fall into an abyss of desire.
My forlornness evokes the flood of tears,
Of loosing you I so much fear.

Filled with hope, I light the lonely candle,
To seek my path to somewhere, yet to nowhere.
I dip into my own bosom, my own grieve,
Nourishing my sorrowful beauty in your humorous irony.

How so well-put-together I look,
But inside I’m a raging inferno.
Seeing my soul being crushed and shackled,
Oh! Doesn’t it feel so good?

I know it makes a little sense,
To think and feel like that.
But like they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained,
So I’m willing to venture on your love, to endure its pain.

Why these contradictions,
Worsening this addiction?
Why this apprehension,
Vacillating these emotions?
Oh! Why!?!?

Your dilema is the price we pay for having imagination and intelligence imposed upon a natural selection system designed for all species.

The uncertainties of foresight and doubt are very well portrayed in your poem

Question, do you both have sufficient tradition, fortitude and resove to carry your love across life's stormy seas

impeccable piece of poetry!!!!!! u beautifully articulated the oppressive feelings of a person who is facing a queerest situation i.e things which she/he hates most about her/hislover are the things which compells her/him most towards her lover. certainly a dilemma

But this cannot be love, for with true love, there is no pain!
Beautifully written...well expressed also. I learned the hard way.....if it hurts you'd better exist! If it's real love....it's not a contradiction. It's smooth, dependable, trustworthy, and most of all peaceful and calm!

You are right in your saying my friend. But in this poem, everything is so complex. He doesn’t know what she feels for him.
Thanks for being concerned and leaving your thoughtful views.
