Life bleeds you dry.
Merciless leaves you to die.
Emotionally drained.
Your every thought is strained.
People just tap into you.
Demanding everything from you.
Like scavengers they devour you energy.
Pouncing on you like the enemy.
Disregarding the fact that you are friend not foe.
Seriously this is damn low.
These are people for whom you care.
And lovingly with them everything you share.
And don't dare defend yourself.
They will stuff you away high on a shelf.
Cause life is all about them.
And not you their friend.

Life bleeds you dry.

Interesting write. This reminded me of one of my own poems
"A lonely place is this world of ours where people pass and barely say hello. . ." Your poem seems to be a more negative take on the subject and maybe that is the correct view but I still have hope for us, for humanity.

I/'/m in that funk myself. People can be complete downers. Well wrote and said and the truth especially in the digital world
