Array ( [sid] => 176567 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Words [time] => 2013-07-21 13:38:24 [hometext] => This is a poem dedicated to my wife to express my deep admiration and love for her. [bodytext] => If there were words to tell you
How much you mean to me,
They’d speak of how you’re brave and true;
Lovely, strong, and free.
But, there are no words to say
On land, nor sky, nor sea,
For nothing can express the love
And joy you give to me.

If there were songs to sing about
How beautiful you are,
They’d sing about your flawless beauty
Shining like a star.
But there are no songs composed
That meet angelic par,
For beauty pales compared to you
You’re radiant by far.

If there were poems that boast about
Your talents and finesse,
They’d brag of how you rise above
The labor and the stress.
But there are no poems to claim;
You’re skills they can’t express,
For no rhymes can illustrate
The gifts that you possess.

If there were actions I could take
To show my love anew,
They’d show you how extremely proud
And lucky I am too.
And there are actions I can take
Though some I can’t undo,
But I will always hold you close
And whisper I Love You.

There is so much love in your words that you transport the reader to a wonderful world. So few find what you express within your poem that the reader is thankful to just be along for the journey in your words. Very Great write. P

I like the way you expressed that there are no poems or songs to tell her the feelings you have, yet you did it anyway.

Nicely done.
