Array ( [sid] => 176290 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Growing Upward [time] => 2013-06-13 02:04:06 [hometext] => One day we stop measuring, and bloom into who we are........ [bodytext] => We’ve all been down; We’ve all come back.
We do our best with what we lack!

And part of every journey, is pausing to take stock.
To rummage thru our dusty past, and open every lock!

When you’re compelled to measure the crossroads that you took ,
Relish every splendid choice! (dwell not on those mistook).

Trust that what looks easy now, may not have been so then.
Believe you did the best you could, with what you had, and when.

I could have done it better, (could I have done it twice!)
I needed my permission to let what was suffice;

When you nudge those doors ajar, don't bring your oughts and shoulds!
You’ll find instead of criss-crossed scars; the beauty of a weathered wood!

Content I came to know myself; and by my best account;
Beheld the world through sweeter eyes; And did my youth surmount.

Yes this is unavoidable. We all make mistakes and yes we all will ponder on them from time to time, but there will come a time in each ones life when you must take a step back and look at your past, make peace with it and let it be. For should we not it will haunt us ever more. Grate write nudges us in the right direction to make peace with our past.

Greetings
Rus

A treasure, to review some of your dated submissions to this site. How neat it would be to read your words when written through the blemish-less lenses of youth.
