She's an addiction and recovery professional, and has a lot of knowledge about WHY we do things. Thanks, T. [bodytext] => What Goes Up.

basic laws behind my lies
classic theme, today's disguise
do it best right to your eye
Dare my Slick to slide to Sly

how can it be this mockery,
this side effect in front of me.
how can it be normality
for God to point a gun at Me.

can't turn my back,
my front's ashamed.

can't reach out
these bruise-ed veins

cant go on, cant maintain
can't scrub this mind out of my brain.

can't believe i bought my lie-
"couldn't care less about the reasons Why"

can't stop laughing until i cry

can't stop wanting until i die.

Sad... and full of extreme images, like God pointing a gun at you. "can't scrub this mind out of my brain." I like this phrasing. I feel like that myself sometimes.
Good Write! Blessings, SF

Some really interesting thoughts.
I like the lines when it starts with the inability to turn the back. Makes me think of someone going (debatable)crazy, after being so fed-up or bored with life, that they turn to hedonism for the sake of enjoying themself. Then it gets out of hand, to the point where it's never-ending and all-consuming. I can't stop enjoying myself until that pleasure's nowhere to be found, and at that point I'll break down and cry. I can't stop wanting this, because I'm addicted to it, and this sense of desire will never go away, unless there's no place for it to exist.

This is very much likely common sense, but I'm not very good at distinguishing meaning behind words. Again nice poem. :)
