[title] => She's Like A Song
[time] => 2013-01-02 19:18:01
[hometext] => This is a poem about how a boy personifies a girl like a song.
[bodytext] => She's like a song: The opening verse puts me in the setting of a first date. I listen so closely and begin to debate. What is this major hook that should catch me? Why should I keep listenin' until chorus like there's some guarantee? Why shouldn't I just conclude this date before it ends all wrong? Then comes the chorus, and I feel like we could really get along. She has captured me with such beautiful taste. The way her softly played notes attach to my head like it's made of paste. And the lyrics of her story are so well brought out, I can repeat them with her without having in kind of doubt And yet I can't ever get enough, Every time I listen I feel like I should be waiting for some sort of bluff. Verse two follows, and now is my test from her. She'll either keep me as a true listener, or drop me and make me into a blur. I got to keep it cool, yet sway the right way That those chords and lyrics she's puttin' into my ear play That way when the chorus comes for the repeat, I can say it with her, letting her know that I too can be there to keep the beat.
