[bodytext] => I'm in love and I miss you are words I've said Not out loud for they're only in my head Strong words said straight from the heart While other words seem to tear me apart. Words have me spinning out of control Like burning daggers driven into my soul. In my heart a love once lived Now I fear there's no more love to give. My will and spirit have been humbled And all around my world begins to crumble. The dreams of things that I truly wanted I now keep locked away inside a closet. My dreams once like a shining star Now out of reach and just too hard. I've never been one known to quit I just hope I'm not one you're easy to forget. I've always thought I should fight for my cause I believe this time the battle may be lost. Mad at myself for the tears in my eyes So if you see me don't judge or criticize. Helpless and unsure of what I should do Life had purpose when I was dreaming of you. Today everything seems to be in pieces All while my will to fight steadily decreases. I thought if I held on a little bit longer That your feelings for me would grow stronger If I held out another day, another year Then I wouldn't have to face all of these fears. As kids we had a fear of being turned down Like being picked last on the playground. Little things in life hurt us for so long Sometimes we loose the will to be strong. I wish I could return to the days of hide and seek Back when you'd get a hug when feeling weak. The compassion that was felt in those hugs And in that moment you knew you were loved. I found you when I wasn't really searching And in that moment rescued me from my hurting. Broken bones, cuts, scrapes and all the bruises Never hurt as much as what I am about loose. Stuck between the anger for one, and love for another Wanting to be in love instead forced to suffer. I have to break free from these chains Before I watch love spiral down the drain. So if I am silent do not think I am gone I'm silently praying you haven't fully moved on. I'll keep praying you don't give up on me That you won't give up on something that's meant to be.
