On a bloodshot backdrop
Blackened tears fall
Refusing to stop

Begging for the blood
To release the pain
Breathing seems impossible
When the ache remains

Loneliness is debilitating
Just emptiness inside
Self-loathing is consuming
Making it hard to hide

The mirror is always judging
Attacking imperfection
From mind, body, and soul
There’s nothing but rejection

a very dark and passionate poem,
well written and direct
Upon the subject.
I know the feeling very well
to be alone with no one but yourself
but I truly believe there is someone for everyone.
take heart
and
take care

Richard

I can very much relate to this, but I feel you've expressed it much better than I could have. This is a very honest and real poem with great expression.

Keep your head and I'll be trying to do the same. Keep up the writing, I enjoyed reading.

I can relate to this so much. This poem is beautifully written and the darkness and struggle is so evident. Keep up the amazing work!
