Array ( [sid] => 173265 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Home [time] => 2012-07-04 19:58:39 [hometext] => This poem is about the many feelings that possible depression can bring up. Meant to help others in a way. [bodytext] => The pain of not knowing what to do next,
Wondering about who you are or want to be
As you stand perplexed.

Nobody can understand you
Except those who went through the pain too.
You feel all alone in the forgotten world
That you call your home.

Seeing the very life you lived passing by,
As you keep the tears from falling from your eyes.
You wanted to be great and recognized!
yet you ate dirt as you looked through the glass,
seeing everyone having a blast.

How dare they push you aside and spit on you?
Although you helped them every chance you had.

They said they were your friends
They said you were not to blame,
Yet, in their eyes, you saw shame.
Shame that would haunt you your whole life.

You become isolated and all alone,
Because when you are around them you feel out of place
As though you were someone that had no face.
You hide behind a smile, all that sadness deep down inside
Feeling that you are but a grain of sand in the ocean
Going against the common tide.

The numbness is getting to you again,
No matter how much you flee from your sin
You are a prisoner of war.
You feel nothing inside except regret and pain
No one can help
Despite how much you whelp.

The knife is poised and in position
Ready to strike in a moment’s notice.
Soon all this pain and suffering will end,
As you die yet again.

You have nothing left to say but goodbye
And sorry that I left you in the blink of an eye.
I was all alone in a deep dark world
But now I can finally be home.

words fail me to describe the truth and beauty of your insight, rising above is the challenge but feeling above or below is failure as equality is key , stunning meaningful writing, should be taught in schools.xx
