[bodytext] => I would love to see the sun rise again Over the White House someday soon. It always was so very beautiful From the Chesapeake Bay by noon. But it seems for several decades now There has been cloud cover there. The streets are lined with umbrellas, To keep water from congresses hair. There was a time when each sunrise Made our nation shine like jewels. From the Pacific to the Atlantic, A most thrilling sight to view. Now we see a darkened pall Like a coffin flag on display. Our freedoms are slowly crumbling, There aren’t as many as yesterday. Orders come from our leader, With the stroke of a simple pen, That never have been voted for, “Of The People” seems now a sin!
