Thinking of all the the things that I wished would be.

Thoughts always racing through my mind,
Sometimes there is so many I just go blind.

Blind to the world, I just can't see,
All of these things, going down around me.

So many people just walk on by,
They don't even notice the tears that I cry.

I always feel that I'm in so much pain,
Some times its so bad I think I'll go insane.

I feel this pain will never end,
And this rip in my soul will never mend.

Beaten down and broken apart,
That Is what has happened to my very heart.

I put my trust and love in one girl,
I thought she was going to be my world.

Now all broken I see I was wrong,
Nothing left but the broken lines of our song.

Our song of happiness un-compared,
Is now one of complete despair.

You would think after the first time I would learn,
But I'm so filled with love and it's what I yearn.

So now I lay here thinking about entering my final sleep,
I just can't help but start to weep.

As I bring the knife closer to my chest,
I keep telling my self this is for the best.

No one cares to have me here,
No one ever stops to give my an ear.

Then a voice coming from some were deep in my mind, tells me,
"this is where you belong,"
"if not to find happiness, then to keep people from playing your sad song."

Another one of those beautifully written and sad songs.
Man's destiny is joy. For abundance of joy.
If we cling to wrong things - no happiness will be found. Happiness is fleeting, joy is eternal.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem
Blessings
Elizabeth
