So much that the rest wanted to follow.
So innocent, she never knew sin.
Her death has filled this heart with such sorrow.

I wanted to take to the skies.
But, love, you were my anchor.
You held me to earth with your eyes.
I feel their strong hold all the way to my core.

When she took that piece of my soul,
The rest of me almost took flight.
My heart felt heavy and dark as coal.
The urge to find her was so hard to fight.

I wanted to go to a dark place and hide.
But, I have you, my anchor.
You held me tight while I cried.
My soul could not leave my body, of that you made sure.

This is good
a heartfelt statement of grief and consolation
with a fine choice of words
I think poetry is meant to express our minds and hearts,
Words from the soul are always worthy.

take care
Richard

And you are as talented as your Grandma!
I see talent runs in the family. I am positive
she is very proud of you. And thank God
for sweet hearts like Jaysen who are there
to comfort you in your time of grief and sorrow,
Blessings, Rob
