Unfortunately the bullies, tried to get in the way.
The girl tried to be there, for her sensitive friend,
But the bullies would always, get to him in the end.

The boy tried to reason with them, once he even told,
But the adults did nothing, he was never again so bold.
The girl tried to stick up for him, but that just made them laugh,
That the boy needed a little girl, to fight on his behalf.

The boy cried himself to sleep, every single night,
He couldn’t face his fears, try as hard as he might.
The girl was very worried, for her deeply depressed pal,
No matter what she did, she could not boost his morale.

Finally the boy could take no more, his life was too much to bear,
He thought the only option open to him, was to end his despair.
The bullies couldn’t believe, what their damage had wrought,
The girl was left without her friend, devastated and distraught.

Everyone asked themselves, what they could have done,
And why the bullies, seemed to think it was so much fun.
They all seemed to think, that there must have been another way,
Well if someone had just listened, the boy might still be here today.

The poem gives a very important message, made more effective by the clever structure and the effortless rhymes.
Keep writing
