Array ( [sid] => 168230 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Forget [time] => 2011-10-31 01:03:02 [hometext] => Written by myself, Damian Spohr. This is a poem about the hardships of life after witnessing the suicidal death of one close to you. It runs deep in anger and mourning. It tells of the person writing killing themself to stay with their friend.. [bodytext] => They all say I'd be better to forget,
But it's what I saw that they don't get
I still see the bright red flash
I still hear the thick, cold splash

They say everything happens for a reason,
Everything blooms in it's season
But how do I open to the world
This secret makes my petrels stay furled

The crash, the flash of red
Hanging lost, above the bed
Your face I see as you turn to me
Your silent scream brings to knee

Why leave me alone in this world of depression,
They all smile till i make the confession
They killed her cold, day by day
Until she had no choice

The noose was tight,
The rope bound
To world of purity, to the light
Maybe then they will not going

The crash, the flash of red
Hanging lost, above the bed
Your face I see as you turn to me
Your silent scream brings to knee

And though they all say to forget
They have not seen and do not get
Those sunken eyes, hollow and black
The forced grin of your final, deathly leer

They say you only live once
You took that away
You swung to a tune no one could play
And left me alone in the darkness to pay

I close my eyes, but sleep never comes,
Just that picture of you slung in blood
Sunken, cold, dead to the world
No not the world, just only me

Now the darkness comes to greet
Under he comes for me to meet
Through his darkness there Is light
And all that is there is what you want

I write the note
I set the rope, as darkness turns to friend
My conscience does stop to gloat
But my love, this is my end. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 899 [topic] => 55 [informant] => Damian [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )

This is beautifully written, it explains the hardship of suicide and how not only does it effect the victim but those around who truly love. Great job :D

You are an amazing writer. Whoever reads what you write actually feels what you felt. I like that. Keep it up okay.
