I fear it is tainted

Her toxic potion has knocked me into the next rehlm on occasion

The recovery time has been unkind

Her promise of unconditional bliss is a smoke screen

I'm her perfect subject

An emoitonal creature with concealed scars

The colors of the day seep into my skin

Able to feel the vibrations in the air

Oblivious to a wolf is sheeps clothing

My tears quench her lush garden

I'm her curious child who continues to touch the red coil

She sits on the sideline with a blind eye

Ointment in one hand and a healthy push with the other

I love to hate her

When i'm on that uphoric high

I praise her

When the familar wrenching pain strikes me down

She is Hades

I see her puppet strings but i fall for the the sparkle of her cup

Everything has a price

The only question left is

Do i want to sip today?

Quote I have read
"If all is true that I do think
there are five reasons we should drink
good wine, a friend or being dry, or lest we should
be by or by or any other reason why."

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
