when nature's feeling down,
fallen angels play their harps,
if the truth begins to shame you;
just blame it on fruition,
when the sky begins to fall,
pretend that you don't notice

The camera is not on,
but the image is still transmitting,
when the satellite’s out of range
orbit paints it's picture
if the lies begins to pain you;
just wallow in denial,
when the ground begins to crack,
pretend that you don't care

The play's already scripted,
but you still don't know your part,
when the final scene is shot,
let's hope it's not too late,
if reality begins to seize you;
just blame it on condition,
when the shadows call your number,
pretend you have no fear [comments] => 4 [counter] => 309 [topic] => 73 [informant] => unorthodox [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )

I loved the dark message behind the poem, it set a great mood.

Giving in to the pain is something we all do sometimes.

This is a very sublime poem. I think I understand what it means -- it seems to have a a sarcastic tone to it -- but I never can trust if I'm getting the real meaning of a poem. Sometimes it takes my reading it many times to understand it. Anyhow -- with just 2 readings, I really liked the sound and flow of this poem. Thank you!

I am impressed.
Its been a long time since I have read a poem that I could relate entirely to, but this did it.
It is dark and thoughtprovoking.
Well done.
