why do we need a god? does this god, this he (which would be lonely) need us? I'm not so sure. I'm glad for you that you have faith. I'm happy to go on without faith. I don't need it.

I think poeticjustice missed the meaning of your poem. Cause the god I see in your poem, is not an all-knowing ominous person in the sky, but rather he is a metaphor for the bond all humans share with each other, nature, and the planet.
I normally don't like these warm and fuzzy poems, this one was not bad. Keep it up, I'd like to read more, perhaps next time something with some teeth.
