When you met my eyes and took my heart away
Why can't we be content where we are
And take a stroll down memory lane some other day
Well as long as I'm stuck here I'll continue
To carry out what has been on my mind lately

You're just a boy and I'm merely a girl
Both coming from extraordinary worlds
You held my hand and I caressed your heart
And although we knew this would end from the start
We wanted to see the lovely memories unfurl
The ones that made you the luckiest man in the world

As I look at the clock it's twenty-one after seven
And I remember when you said I was sent from heaven
Oh how I wish I could speak to you again
Is there a way we could start over as friends

You're merely a boy and I'm just a girl
If I could I'd hold onto you as a precious pearl
Why have the glory days faded and you've disappeared
Is there a way I can redeem those days for sure
The days you claimed that made you the luckiest man in the world

We have been separated by time and fate
But if you were to change your ways I would wait
My one desire is to know if you yearn my love
For I would be glad to give you it and then some

Like I've said you're a boy and I am a girl
Trying to find new paths in this crazy world
I miss you oh so and wish you were near
Would you ever come back just to see me dear
If it were not for the memories that had unfurled
And made you feel like the luckiest man in the world  [comments] => 2 [counter] => 321 [topic] => 24 [informant] => Deidra_Carmichael [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )
