Stiff, still, and cold.
The light within my eyes extinguished.
A saga, stagnate and untold.

Lying in a den of darkness,
heavy with the air of despair.
Isolated and alone.
Hopelessly paralyzed there.

My heart, frozen and lifeless.
No blood course through my veins.
My skin, thin and pale.
I lay numb, yet full of pain.

Dwindling within an abyss,
without desire to escape.
Lacking the will to continue,
I surrender to my fate...

Then came you.

By chance or design?
A ray of light.
The perfect savior,
to liberate me from my plight.

Your devotion and impish play,
as well your willingness to give,
has beaconed this deceased soul to once again live.

Your infectious smile and warming laughter creates a calming ease.
Within your kiss, life.
As, once more, I breathe.

Restoring my hope and ambition.
My confinement is unhinged.
Thawed and reanimated,
my heart beats within.

No longer am I unresponsive,
instead elated.
Because of you,
I stand resuscitated.

Far too long I've laid dormant.
Stiff, still, and cold.
