If you’re anything like me,
you‘re sitting in front of a blank page,
remembering the times that the whiteness
alone was so all inspiring.

Now you find yourself looking,
searching for something, not sure
what it is, or where to start,,
how do you begin to feel alive again?

your voice alone used to suffice,
but where do you turn when the words simply fail
what do you do, when your thoughts won’t transpire
and the stillness becomes too much?

The problem is not that your life is hard,
the problem is not that you are un happy,,
the problem is simply lack of enthusiasm.
….the loss of spirit, and excitement…

So, maybe something is missing?
maybe some void I have yet to fill?
Because my words, my voice,
they just don’t spill..
Not like they did before.

You have a husband to love,
and a couple true friends,
Life is steady, it’s all too stable,
pay check to pay check, but your making it..

So that leaves you content
but, it also leaves you empty.
Because deep down inside
you know you are more…

your voice alone used to suffice,
but where do you turn when the words simply fail
what do you do, when your thoughts won’t transpire
and the stillness becomes too much?

Great poem. It reminds me of how I feel lately. I have a lot to be thankful for, and yet, sometimes I feel there is so much more I am on this Earth for. The flow is very natural like the course of life. Great write!

I really like this and it hits home for me... I like how you chose to structure it as well, I think it made it flow nicely. Lovely write.
