Part 1, -Safe haven

With the stench of death in the air I crawled down the sewer pipe
With the putrid rank of s**t I held up my torch and lit the way
I could see that this was a bad place to be but necessary for my survival

Above ground the groans of the dead
They shuffle in search of flesh
Flesh un-dead to feed their hunger
For my survival I have to hide below the surface in sewers wide
Wide and winding but so rank

I checked my gun for bullets
Only three left, that’s not so good
I can here them coming close
Must find a safe haven, for my life to continue

Walking knee deep in slurry
Walking fast in a hurry
I see a light up ahead
I hope it’s not one of the un-dead
Survival in zombie land
Running through tunnels of slime

I hear a woman crying ahead
She had the same idea as me hide below and come up for food and water
Don’t be afraid, I day
I’m alive like you, let’s get you cleaned up and fed

We surface in an old Tesco
We find water and tins of beans
We also found some unwanted guests I had to use an umbrella to stab it in the eye
Once through the skull will top them cold
Watch out for the oozing brain mush
Don’t ingest or with the virus you’ll become

More where coming we had to find more food and a new place to shelter for the night
We found some fresh clothes too
Not the height of fashion
But who’s looking to be on the catwalk
And not what we are wearing is the hot topic of the day

To be continued…..

You paint a hell a vivid picture with your "Survival" collection!
