A distant memory, a sight

I open my eyes, and see that you’re gone

A distant memory, a sight

I'm by myself too but I have dogs that are my kids.
My children grown with their own family.
Still they are just a few miles away.
For the most part I'm very content.
I do know we all have bad times tho. I find it very
healing being alone and of course it really heals with the writing. I think most writers need their solitude at times.
