Dreams that have past
Dreams are fulfilled
Most dreams never last

Awakening now to inexplicable reality
Living fare from a dream come true
Dieing inside I'm lost in my mind
As I’m forced to dream about you

Selfishly dreaming of what can never be mine
Reaching through thoughts but its pain I find
Living with choices made and opportunities lost
Hurt in my heart as my mind starts to rot

I cant relinquish your memories from my mind
I'd cut out my eyes if it'd truly make me blind
But my thoughts are eternally fixed on you
Living with vision of what can never be true

The smell of your skin in my warm embrace
The look in your eyes as I caress your face
The kiss of your lips so forbidden and forsaken
A life worth living when I was yours for the taking

So from this day forth I'll continue to bleed
Crimson memories of a life meant for me
Forever lost in the thoughts of your warm embrace
Relentlessly dreaming to see your face

Enjoyed your poem.

'Selfishly dreaming of what can never be mine"

I find this line very powerful and very moving. I won't forget this one.

Peace
Ammar
