[bodytext] => The Day She said Goodbye
by: Thomas Hagedon

I hoped I’d never have to say those words
Words that made such sadness.
Words that made everything fade away.

Then you said you needed a break.
I had hoped you’d be there forever
A break seemed okay, but it doesn’t turn out that way.

the phrase comes out,
“Lets just be friends.”
One day after the break, now your gone
never to be together again

So when you see me again
I’ll try not to frown
I’ll try not to cry.
I’ll try not to trip

and I’ll try not to fall back in love with.

Touching. I can relate to that. Its hard to hear someone say that they only want to be friends but you know, that's part of life.

Sometimes you just have to hold your head up high and smile, even if it does kill you.

You obviously cared deeply about this girl. Very nicely done.... Amy
