You always ask me what I'm thinking Well I was thinking we could sit for a minute Talk about you, about me You could get to know me You leave my hands shaking Still I won't open myself to you I was thinking maybe I shouldn't be so scared You tell me how to be free It's not easy for me No one here can reach me Would you listen if I called your name? That first touch re-awakened my battered feelings Why do you love holding me? Could it be so simple? If I make you happy And I can be what you've never had Then I will have become what you've become to me I don't want to tear you down Or even build you up I just want to stand still And go where being with you takes me I keep telling myself we are just who we are And we're right where we should be I'm craving something new You don't give a reason You think everything's just what it is If I could think that way I wouldn't think so much To me, you're something so good Maybe that is enough...
