In the distance , a shining bottle he sees
Picks it up
A Shiver goes down his spine
The bottle changes into a book
Of black and gold
A Story runs through his mind

1844
Dear Emma
I'm on my way to a far away land
I wanted more than be friends
But i knew
I never stood a chance against
Henry and his friends
AND for the last half hour
We've been surrounded by storms
I might never see you again
OH MY GOD, we've just been hit
We are going down
Goodbye my lover
Goodbye my friend

The golden book disappears
Unseen by the Boy
An old woman appears
Next to him
She touches his hand
The cold shiver
Run down his spine again
And the story continue in his head

Dear James
You were always my lover
Always my friend
My marriage to Henry
Was just in name
To help the family
But i could never tell you
Could never show
We needed the influence
And the price i paid
Was losing you
I just want you to know
I will always love you

And the little boy knew
How this story would end
Somewhere in a far away land
An old Man and Woman
Are sitting on the Beach

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
