To find the souls who went astray,

Tempted by a promise so sweet,
But it’s truly a pact they’ll never meet,

Before the end, their time is up,
The lives of many, they do disrupt,

Temptation has led them blindly down,
Deep into earth, where lies… a crown,

Blistered and broken through all the years,
Tainted red with corrupted tears,

Of broken souls, and twisted lies,
They touch this crown, and then they cry,

For this is not a crown of gold,
But some say in the tales of old,

There was crown created by god,
To end Satan’s evil façade,

The crown it lies on Satan’s head,
Until evil… his soul does shed.

It really is a joy to read writing that is dark and that surrounds the reader in such an atmosphere. You have done that in such an imaginative way .Delicious and full of mystique this was a pleasure to read. Another nice piece of writing.
