And I never have the words to say.
That describes how I feel for you,
And even if I did, would you think it’s true?

I’ve done my wrongs; said my lies,
I’ve shed my tears from these lonely eyes.
If I had seen the signs, or could turn back time,
I’d put things right and I’d make you mine.

Remember when everything was great,
We’d talk for hours and stay up late.
When I’d see your eyes peer upon my face,
My breath would stop and my heart would race.

I should never had been neglective of,
The patience you showed, as well as love.
All the times we laughed, all the times we cried,
You gave me strength and a sense of pride.

Now those times are just a memory,
And I lay at night wanting you with me.
Why did things have to be this way?
I feel so lost and I’ve gone astray.

I just want one chance to make things right,
And just sweep you up like I was your knight.
Tell you it’s alright—hold you close to me,
Make everything like it used to be.

I’ll get on my knees; I’ll beg and pray,
I swear this time that I’m here to stay.
As you’re in my arms I will whisper of,
How I missed you so and your my love.

So return to me, this is all I plea,
I’m left in the dark and I cannot see.
I hope you can still be forgiving,
Because without you life’s not worth living. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Jonathon_J_Young [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )
