Aint no funeral here
Then again
The sun don't always shine
whenever your near

Always remember
Son
If you see something
That begs the question
You can always choose the place
But you can't forget the face

You got that fear in ya
I bet you'd never guess
We gave you this side
Son
For when you got lost
Drifting along, taking the tide

Where it goes?
The soldier can show
He's musclin' through
An endless shadow
Lookin for an excuse
gotta forgive his god
desperation be told
aint no solace here
not when the panthers near

The story seems to be over
Son
They wrote that chapter
You seem to forget
Son
You lost your step
We took you in
Yeah, you were confused
Don't worry, we'll close the book
Move along son

There's a show to see
There'll always be
A constant matinee

Looks like it's time

You should know,

Your free now son

your words touched me, this coud have been written by my father to me

i guess it's the way it goes, the son goes his way, and it's not the way his parents chose for him. we all need to find our way and while we go on many times we get lost. but in the end we get back back to who we belong to, and can see our belovedes with a clear mind, as they are, crumbs on the floor don't affect our relation now

thanks for your poem!
