Array ( [sid] => 162722 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Emotion's Thief [time] => 2010-10-10 17:20:54 [hometext] => I havn't written anything for a while. So I thought I'd do a quick write because sometimes we just need to vent a little. It wasn't intentional but that's what the poem ended up being about. [bodytext] => the pen that's settled on the pad
to shed awoken grief
moves swiftly on a darkened path
to be emotions thief

they've hoarded for themselves too long
the poets now unheard
he'll sneak into their cluttered homes
and steal their sullen word

and after they're all taken from
they'll fill their homes with more
awaiting for him to return
and leave an open door

but if they shut their door to him
their clutter fills the room
and when no room is left inside
then that's the poets doom

their homes become a shrinking cage
the word that fills 'alone'
this is the end to all of them
who's words are never shown

so let the poet's door swing free
to let the thief come in
so after he has taken
he can give to other men
