Array ( [sid] => 161066 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Scars of a misspent youth [time] => 2010-07-10 06:27:09 [hometext] => I often said when people asked about my tatoo that it was a scar of my misspent youth and it got me thinking off all the things that i carry with me today due to my youth. [bodytext] => Scars of a misspent youth

The lines of my face
My fall from grace
The love from my friends that I can’t embrace

Are scars of a misspent youth

The tattoo on my arm
I thought wont do any harm
But has lost all its charm

Are scars of a misspent youth

The confidence I lack
And the Hunch in my back
Eye contact with people I can’t seem to hack

Are scars of a misspent youth

My broken heart
The things that tore it apart
The emotions I buried for being to dark

Are scars of a misspent youth

Remembering the feelings I had
Of the fear of going mad
And crying to my mum and dad

Are scars of a misspent youth

All the people I hurt
That I treated like dirt
Bad habits I have that I can’t seem to revert

Are scars of a misspent youth

But the lessons I learnt
Each time I got burnt
Relationships I thought had ended that weren’t

And seeing the beauty within
And knowing that being young is no sin
And it’s not too late for life to begin

And teach what I have learnt to my son
Since my life begun
And together enjoy life and have fun

Are scars of a misspent youth

The end

Dear respected quadira,

Your poetry is outstanding
Your youth was misspent
For which you repent
We are truly understanding

But, now you have a talent
That too very extraordinary
Developing it is necessary
More poems please invent.

With best wishes, Thanking you, Yours truly,

M V VENKATARAMAN
