But hear it we must with limited fear,
If risk times chance equate negative odds,
Then we don't have the courage to play our own Gods,

Some sheep feel outcast for the colour of their wool,
Feel victim to some sort of mass social cull,
Appearance demands solidarity they keep,
But some would say this is just ugly mans speak,

But what else can explain the absence of chemistry,
When all other feelings run with such symmetry,
But chemistry is clearly sweet talk for attraction,
Which like a King overrules mere peasantry affection,

So what to do when left out in the cold,
When it wears you down and it takes its toll,
When just as you think you can make it alone,
The world timely reminds you no hearts made of stone,

Company is fickle despite its warm feeling,
Like deciduous trees changing each season,
Evergreen leaves are not guaranteed,
Some trees may settle which is hard to believe,

I can see the point but not the means,
Bourne from desperation or so it seems,
Its not the route the black sheep will take,
Rather graze in the corner for sanity's sake,

Maybe hope comes and maybe hope goes,
Like a tide that ebbs after it flows,
Hope springs eternal and the soul lives forever,
If hope infinitely ebbs despite souls endeavour?

If my life was flashing before my eyes,
I would think of my loved ones and not my demise,
Not what I have done or failed to achieve,
. . . The most tragic epiphany I have ever conceived [comments] => 0 [counter] => 127 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Cutex [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
