My homeworks in the car
I didnt mean to forget it, Miss
Thats just the way things are.

We really had to race, Miss
To get to school on time
My Dad forgot to wake us, Miss
I dont think thats a crime.

It all began quite funny, Miss
Last night around our tea
My brother got a fright, Miss
When the cat jumped on his knee.

My brother knocked his water, Miss
All over Uncle Stu,
You really had to laugh , Miss
When Uncle turned quite blue.

We all cleaned up the mess, Miss
My Dad got really mad
He yelled at Uncle Stu, Miss
And Uncle Stu got sad.

This made my mum speak up , Miss
She sent us all to bed
And then she threw the tea towel, miss
Right at poor Dads head.

She told my Dad to sleep , Miss
In the lounge last night
He woke up rather sudden ,Miss
He must of got a fright.

All this made us late, Miss
Especially my Dad
He really wasnt happy, Miss
In fact, he was quite mad.

And thats the way things went, Miss
I really didnt lie
I may have stretched the truth, Miss
And pigs can really fly.

Yes, funny. Well written. Nice excuses make me (a teacher) smile. I often rhyme my school stories.
