Fell into a pool of overwhelming strain
Sanity breaking inside me
Slipping and sliding
Blind though a tunnel of torment
Wrenched from all I knew to be true
And tossed coldly out into the rain
I feel my heart shatter within
And the tears fall so warm
Faith never brought me any hope
Mocked by God, abandoned by Goddess
Where do I turn?
Broken family, broken soul
I hardly remember joy anymore
The bitter taste of reality shattering my home
Laying in the bed of a stranger
In a cold house that's not mine
I hear your voice
Deep, rhythmic, medicinal
You talk calmly to me
And my tears start to dry
I can almost see you in the dark
And I want to reach out to you
I know you'd hold me, if your arms only reached the distance
You tell me "hang in there" and like that reality snaps at me
My tears are gone, my shattered heart twinges with feeling once more
As we say goodbye you hold on a moment longer
Like you're waiting for one of us to say something more
Something we both know we cannot say
But still I know, deep in my soul
While I don't have a building to call my home
You'll always be there one way or another
Comforting me, like a warm fire in a cozy niche
I have found a home
A place where I feel at peace
And I know you'll keep me safe
Because you always have
And always will be

I relate to this write on all levels.
I also lost everything, material wise, job, car, home my eightteen wheeler and only by the grace of something I have a motel room roof over my head. It is difficult times.

You did pull out beauty in the midst of rain here.

Good luck to you

Hugs
Michelle
