[hometext] => My poem speaks about love's responsibility and reaction in times of challenges and about its sense of comittment and the need to be there to the end
[bodytext] => Now that we are joined together To love sincerely and care for each other In sickness, health or whatsoever We are now one and our journey's just begun We stood before the Creator and his creatures Declaring your undying love When in confidence you said I do It echoed loud like a burst of thunder I'll stand by you You took me from my zone of comfort A place I loved called home From family friends and neighbors A plenty to venture on a path unknown Let's remember we are in this together To start a life without a strife I'll be there for you Would you get angry in hurry If a difference you see in me? Well my friend I'm not so perfect But as human as I can be The picture that you saw of me Of color and glee You viewed it then some pace away But I'm closer now and here to stay Love goes deeper for nothing hinders It's mission to gladden your heart So just remember my friend and lover There is beauty in the heart So stand by me When the pressures of life get stronger And challenges overwhelms our souls Will there be patience and kind word to utter Or barks to part asunder Or acts to wound me more Can love withstand the horror The fury life at times offer And would words like quitting, mistake If I had known, stupid and foolish Be uttered? Well-Never should this ever be As long as love exists betwixt me and thee Then we must stand together As ou twilight days get shorter At the setting of the sun Would we then reflect and ponder At the race that we had run Would thr world be a little safer And a bit more joy to spread around By our children whose lives we molded When our journey had just begun Would our picture look more perfect And the records say it best Yes they truly loved each other For they surely stood together By B.
