inside of her
like an open
wound searing
to the core.

The heat floods
her center as the
passion overflows
way past the
open door.

His touch
burns into her
surpassing all
the spoken lore.

The refusal to
quench her
desires makes
her question
once again
if she's a bore.

Knowing her place
her standing
would help her
realize what
she's here for.

The wires around
her heart will
never keep in
all the bloody gore.

The ache that's
pierced her then
casts aside
creates her need
to even the
score.

She's blind from
the rage bellowing
inside her head
set on a constant roar.

She wishes they
wouldn't look
or touch
if they're
just gonna back off
leaving her wanting
more.

She's drenched
from the heat
and the deluge
of the downpour.

She's waiting for
a time when she
can look down
and her heart's
on the mend
no longer torn.

She's searching the
forest for the path
that'll keep her from
being so lost and
forlorn.

She's drowning in
a sea of confusion
so far away from
the shore.

She's been damaged
for so long that all
she's capable of
is to rock against
the wall and
mourn. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 150 [topic] => 48 [informant] => jaeann [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Oh my goodness, this is sad.

And the metaphors on the complexity of life's choices! they are great!

But ya know, no one is a bore. While someone may be boring to one will definitely be intriguing to the next. I know, I know, it's hard finding that "common ground" but it can happen.

This one, too.....I really like the structure of this poem. Those short little stanza like lines with a nice rhyme scheme are cool.

Thank you,

Tim
