I watched your interest sway
involved in another’s life
you eventually walked away

You told me it was trivial
in no way related to us
something you needed for growth
I shouldn’t make a fuss

You told me that you realize now
that I am the only one
but say that on your return
only after his sotry was done

You told me you love my mind
I know you leave me unheard
you think you read my language
but you don’t seem to hear a word

You told me that we’re so alike
but what of me do you really care for?
I, on the other hand, watch you
only shy away when I bare more

You’ve told me so much
with actions at a polar end
I feel like nothing but security
barely even a friend

I’m telling you now
excuses are all you’re giving me return
I deserve more than this;
a partner with but generic concern.

very deep and inspiring write. It saddens me to read this but i can relate in some ways. Your writing was excellent and, whilst it saddens me to hear this, i would read on because of your elegant writing style.

This is a very tidy piece of work. Although you were the 'victim' in this poem, if that's the right word for it, it's encouraging to hear of the self-composure and intelligence with which you were able to respond to their swaying interest.

We've not chatted in a while, but I've enjoyed your poetry in the meantime. This was a well controlled piece with emotions conveyed subtly. Good work.
