Must a heart be left so cold and naked
After all the screams and pleas for warmth
Now the silence of darkness calls

Where are the flowers of my hearts song
Bright coloured petals,now long gone
Yet, if the night is hush and still
You can hear the cries,a lonesome trill

And of the soul, what meaning is there
To dream alone, with nobody to share
Solitude surrounds me upon these shores
But I do not cry,I weep no more

Merely I just sit and sigh
Watching lovers strolling by.... [comments] => 4 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 21 [informant] => ChenoaShiningwater [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

aw, well this made me sad. As I read each line I find myself dwelling within
the verses. I am at a point where I am calm and safe in the knowledge of my
fate (or destiny). Sighing yes. But I understand being beyond the weeping ...
still though ... it makes me sad. Or maybe just a bit melancholy.

In any case, this was wonderfully written. Painful, but in such a beautiful
and gentle way.

It is painful and gentle as Rox said......

It could apply to other things beyond love as well.......

Then that moment of pondering and letting go but not with a tear just the sullen sighhhhh, I know it well.

Again beautiful verse

Hi Chen,

Anyone who can write like this, will never fade - nor
your understanding, nor your raison d'etre.
You're not alone - we hear you!

Tommy
