clouds cast a shadow so dark
the girl stands alone nobody in sight
her echoes are her companions
the sky is her ocean
the clouds are her feelings
the mountain is her mind
every time rain falls her eyes flood with water
her mind shakes and quivers
a pebble falls, rolling down into the light where few are waiting
wanting to know if shes ok
but she knows shes not
all she wants is for lightening to strike her dead
she wishes to be in heaven
for where her mother and father are
she keeps seeing the crash
over and over again she is reminded
that shes the only one left
the pain grows stronger and she gets weaker
the wind is swift knocking her off her feet
she just wishes she was in heaven
for thats where her mother and father are [comments] => 3 [counter] => 152 [topic] => 39 [informant] => unexplainablesilence52 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

You have written a very emotional piece. I am feeling the pain of this girl in the poem. Great metaphorical technique used here. Your writing truly expresses how loss can overwhelm your soul. Great job writing; I hope the girl can overcome her grief some day.

Heart wrenchingly sad.
I know the loss of parents but they were years a part in death.
Great writing.
Huggs, blessings, healing,
emy
