Array ( [sid] => 14958 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => American Patriots [time] => 2003-03-26 18:05:00 [hometext] => ~~~
Tonight as the battle rages
People on both sides die
I think how blessed we are
To rest under the flag we fly
~
It flies for all mankind
Not just Americans but everyone
It says hope is not lost
The day is not done
~
Come join me brothers and sisters
Friends and neighbors too
Let freedom mold us together
Into patriots true

~~~~~~~~~~ [bodytext] => American Patriots
We are American patriots
A heart of red, white and blue
We honor God and country
To both we will be true
We take a stand for freedom
Against would be tyrants of this world
We defend the weak and oppressed
Display the banner of liberty unfurled
But there are some among us
Who just refuse to see
Who protest and weaken America
Patriots they pretend to be
Pay them no heed at all
Let them rage to no avail
Be strong and not afraid
Their likes will not prevail
The strength of America
The spirit that makes it great
Is not found in political rhetoric
Or cleverly hidden words of hate
It’s in the heart of its people
Who simply believe one thing true
God granted everyone the right
Life, liberty and happiness to pursue
Russ
Wonderful, Russ! I LIKE the way you think!
I was SusieQ when you read The Power Of A Word, but now I'm Bizzy. I'm sorry that I just looked at those comments and I'm slow in thanking you. I plan to read you often. You are good! Bizzy
