[bodytext] => Now and then the old man would go into a rant, usually after reading about a killing, or hearing about one on the all news station the only station he tuned in to. He’d tell you why half the time someone that kills someone, ‘if people bothered to check into it’ should be given a medal for what they did, maybe even a ticker-tape parade down main street, or why some people need to be put down as one might a sick beloved family pet. No; he wouldn’t debate this with you, try to defend his statement; after all. It was his house and he was the king! He’d just make it for one reason or another, then leave the room as if he wanted you to think about it, while he went to the bathroom.
