You help remember moments

The other thing you do
Sometimes I think you go too far
When love makes its debut
You whir ahead so far in time
To moments with the man
And how you’ll live so happily
Your life becomes a plan
You’ll gaze into each other’s eyes
And watch the setting sun
Then all at once love’s ended
With none of this begun
So now I beg and plead with you
Don’t cause yourself more pain
If love once more should come your way

Dear imagination
You are my saving grace
