Around my head, a cloudy gauze.
My memory of your love escapes
Through murk and mist that seals the doors.

My grey and whispy hair you stroke
And whisper words of long-lived love.
Though shafts of sunlight prod and poke
They never pierce the gloom above.

Now sitting at the window I
Avert my gaze, your touch resist,
My memory dulled, with glassy eye
And drooling mouth, I face the mist. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 162 [topic] => 39 [informant] => MarcusLane [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

my, what you've written offers up an errie quality that speaks of a sweetness shrouded within a quiet sadness. . . time changes our temporal being, with no regard & though we pass into another existence, timeless care remains always the same. . . I love this. peace. elle

Sometimes I am good with words and sometimes I am not. This time I am not. I really am at a loss of words. Wonderful piece and I look forward to reading more.

Take Care,
