Array ( [sid] => 14666 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Which Way? [time] => 2003-03-21 12:35:00 [hometext] => Sometimes we live without an assurance that troubled situations will for sure end in the way we want. People do fail, get sick, and die. [bodytext] => When hard times call for decisions,
the mind fights for light
through the dark.
Which way shall I go
for the right way?
What doom lurks beyond
the wrong way?
No light has directed the path
I should walk.
Why has the Lord been so silent?
Does He not know I'm afraid?
Does He not know the pain I forsee...
no matter which way from doom I flee?
I've used all my knowledge
to the best of my skill...
all the Lord's given me
to work for His will.
I've stared at this problem,
both this way and that...
I'm whirling in circles,
"Where am I at?
I trust the Lord's wisdom;
I want to do what He wants,
if I can but understand
what it IS that He wants!
All will be well
when the Lord's will is done...
for He sees the way clearly
to each victory won.
Have I judged each way open
by His Holy Word?
Did I hear the Lord say
some ways would be wrong?
Was the Lord strangely silent
to point my way?
Then,... perhaps my direction
isn't now important to God.
Perhaps...
I'm not required
to make a decision today.
Perhaps...
it is time to give it to the Lord,...
stop this struggling, crying,...and fearing.
Perhaps...
the Lord watches over me...
no matter which way I go.

ok, straight up, no god or religion in my life, but the way in which you quest for the right thing to do, the right direction to take, this quest i recognise and know well, i'm glad you left a comment on my poem, i would never have read anything of yours otherwise, the religious titles would of put me off, in truth i am still wary of the one's with religious titles but i will in the coming weeks attempt to read more of your back catalogue, this is a lovely poem, an interesting and worthwhile read

Dear Wolfflow, Well I am glad we made a connection with one another! You are among many wary of Christianity or religion in general.
I am peculiar in my beliefs in the eyes of many people who call themselves Christians. I will write about it someday. I believe in and follow, as well as I can understand, Jesus. I don't fit precisely any of the denominational doctrines, but, I confess I don't know or care that much. My father was a believer in Jesus but was put off by the behavior of some that went to church, so he wouldn't go to church.
(Just one example.) Hope you do find a faith in the higher power of God because you will need it when other stuff doesn't work anymore. Thank you so much for your honesty. I hope I hear from you again. Bizzy
