Array ( [sid] => 146468 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Without God I have Faith. [time] => 2008-11-24 15:51:17 [hometext] => This is a poem to my soulmate. Someone I have never met. Comments welcome :) [bodytext] => Every single night, before I go to bed.
I close my eyes and I bow my head.
I start to pray...something i never do.
I pray for one person. I pray for you.
I'm not a believer of God or of Hell.
Is there an afterlife? Who really can tell?

But still i pray. Even though you won't hear.
I don't know where you are, but I pray that your near.
I pray for you, my soulmate. Are you okay?
Are you living in happyness? Every single day?
I pray every night, you'll find me and come home.
Your home in my heart. So we'll never be alone.

Perhaps you won't find me. For the worst I pray too.
In reality our chances of meeting are few.
Live life to the fullest. Even though i'm not there.
You'll find beauty, and wonder. Live life without care.
I hope you'll find happiness, love, and much more.
I hope you'll find something worth living for.

If you ever feel alone. Stop and think of me.
Your always in my thoughts, your all I truly see.
Though we have never met, though i've never seen your face.
I love you without knowing your life or your race.
So my best friend, my other half...be safe.
I believe in our love, so without God...I have faith. Very endearing romantic work. You should seek out this person in whatever way you can and tell them how you feel. People are not meant to be only muses. Keats once wrote that he feared to find love for the muse of searching would die and likely end his poetry. Tragically he passed away and never knew the answer to that question in his head. Some of us (poets who modernly as almost exclusively amateur) have the ability to answer that question for him.

You should not only muse. Though this work is powerful and I can sense that the muse does wonders for your work. Also reading some of your other work I see you still harbor feelings for a past love. If I may be so pretentious as to give advice...Be as bold as your words, live as they read, if only for a day. You will see that Keats was not only a romantic and poetic fool but on the wrong side of fool. Poetry can not be our love, longing cannot be our love, desiring cannot be our love. We must act upon our feelings. If not these powerful words are simply that, words.

A powerful and mighty statement. I certainly hope you find what you are looking for and give him/her the passion that is in this work of art. I hope they give the same in return.

Let me add on a personal note. While seeking please attempt to seek God. If your words to me were pure and honest then you should know my work (most of it, in fact) comes from the passion I have through my faith in God. If anyone would've read my words say 8 or 9 years ago they would be shocked to see how far he has taken me. Without Faith we cease to be. Without God we cease to really have faith. If you really have faith these barriers with you and the object of your affection would be conquered one way or another.

Find the strength to believe. I am not preaching I am only wishing you wonderful things. Those things as I know them begin with God.

BRAVO! Keep Writing!

SCM

Nice sentiment and good use of rhythm.
