Means space all around
But sometimes we find
A stranger's irony
That in searching for freedom
Those few who see differently
Minds bent by the world
Choosing incarceration
While a world turns away
Unable to understand
Why the request was placed
How one can ask for less space
A limited freedom
Society turns that person away
Assuming they know better
Thus, insanity runs rampart

But, not all...
Some learn to be strong
Squirrel themselves away
Because strength takes time
Alike as we seem
Some push space more slowly
Some vent in vain
Some ask for help
And still watch in desperation
As most of the world again turns away
Unable to understand

But not all... [comments] => 9 [counter] => 318 [topic] => 21 [informant] => karoody [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 29 [ratings] => 6 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

I really like it. The over all message is very strong, I'm not sure why but I like how you put the word squirrel in there, fit very well.

Do you realize that many martyr's for the faith have found freedom
even when incarcerated in tiny spaces, just as the Disciples of
Christ experienced? And the Scriptures say, If the Spirit has set
you free, ye shall be free indeed! Yet, they were prisoners.

Very provocative and thought producing write. A great job by you both.
Blessings,
Robert Edgar "Lawdog" Burns
