What you shall find is not a trick of the eye
A blackness envelops, this heart of mine
Where, in obsession, I keep my shrine
Upon this shrine, your face, smeared in blood
Out drops my heart, with a sickening thud
It smacks to the ground but no one glances
Every second passing reduces the chances,
of my heart ever being saved, I saved it for you
But now will you save it for me? the dark seeps thru
Wait, what's this? Your figure is now in sight
I always knew when this battle started, you'd fight
But no, you just walk so close and yet still distant
You tread on my heart, it is crushed in an instant
You don't stop walking to examine the mass on ur sole
You just drag it along with you as you light-heartedly stroll
Bit by bit it falls away, stitch me up now, no other way
I will just have to be hollow, the gaping hole left to decay
The blackness slowly spreads inside and infects me whole
Into my lungs, into my tongue, into my eyes, engulfing my soul
You stripped away my senses, carefully removing my want for all five
You left me wounded on the floor, a meal, on which loneliness will thrive
A miserable, mangled, mess of human remains,
Every tale of heartbreak, leaves it's scar tissue and stains.
