Mere words will never erase the pain that I've caused her, I'm just hoping that she knows how truly sorry I am... [bodytext] => For years I never listened to you, and now it is too late
For years I didn’t hear you, or what you had to say
It wasn’t that I didn’t try, or even feel your pain
All that I did was play and hide; I am the one to blame
You held us all together, through all these many years
I wore you out to where you are, you don’t have any more tears
I should have listened to you, all those many times
You were right we needed help, evading my many crimes
I’ve hurt and disappointed you, not what you deserve
I hope to earn someday a way, that I can better serve
And be a man that you respect, and maybe even want
To share your life with again, a most endearing jaunt
I know that I never say it right, but I’ll try it anyway
For however long that I live my dear, I will be sorry everyday
