I've waited so long...
It's time my heart settles, And finally lives on...

I love you my baby, your my little girl...
Your daddy's little angel, and your my whole world...
Where is my son my little me...
I can hear your laughter, While calling out at thee...

The both of you as you run into me...
I've missed the two of you, It's miserable can you see..
I thank God for the times we have now...
For only his grace and the beautiful clouds...

Our times are fun as we play in style...
This is our story I write out loud...
I'll hold this in but only so long...
Daddy's sure is angry he lost your mom...

But that's ok she left us then...
Were both great parents, Now let's begin...
A new turn into our future...

A very heartwarming write. Happy & a bit sad. Very lovely write.

From one dad to another, I can definitely relate to the sentiment. You did a very good job writing this.

Thanks,

Tim

A moving and romantic (yes romantic) write that is wonderful for a child going through loss of a parent but is equally brilliant enough for an adult to feel the heart sink and then sing when the poem is concluded.

Only certain poets can pull off what you did here. Capturing the innocent literary mind of a child and despite the simplicity of the word choices captivate an adult mind with the complexity of truth and deep love in the emotion of the writing.

This is a masterful job!

Bravo!
